At MiNiMi Academy, we believe each child is a unique individual with their own rights. Their diverse experiences, perspectives, expectations, knowledge and skills should be the basis of our curriculum. We will work with families and communities to provide high quality education and care within a warm, secure environment which promotes diversity and inclusion.
We use the Early Years Learning Framework as a guideline to assist educators in providing our children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning.
At MiNiMi Academy, we value the importance of learning through play and believe that physical, social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative, cognitive and linguistic aspects of children’s learning are all intricately interwoven and interrelated. Our educators choose from a variety of teaching strategies and design the learning environment and curriculum to support children’s dynamic, complex and holistic learning.
We regularly and continuously reflect on our practices and assess children’s learning to drive ongoing improvement and design further planning. Based on our reflection and evaluation, we plan for professional development.
